Sam Anders is an economist specializing in finance.  She is responsible for contributing to the execution of a diverse set of litigation, valuation, and financial advisory engagements.  During her tenure at BVA, Ms. Anders has contributed to engagements related to securities analyses, contract disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets, economic damages, valuation for financial reporting purposes, and fairness opinions.

Ms. Anders received a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.  In addition, she received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with Minors in Business and Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.  She is a CFA Level II Candidate.

At the University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Anders completed a thesis project analyzing the feasibility of reinsurance as an asset class to be inserted into a local asset manager’s well-diversified portfolio.

During Ms. Anders’ undergraduate studies, she co-authored a paper published in The Global Journal of Business Research titled “Viability of a Peer-to-Peer Loan Market for Students and the Underbanked.”  The paper received two awards at the Global Conference on Business and Finance, Outstanding Research Award, and Best in Session.
