Sam Makin
Vice President
Sam Makin is responsible for executing a variety of engagements related to valuation and other financial advisory services. His clients include publicly traded corporations, private companies and partnerships, and private equity firms. Mr. Makin’s experience spans across industries including financial services, engineering and construction, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, oil and gas, media and entertainment, technology, foodservice, and real estate development. He has assisted clients with the following:
- Employee stock ownership plan transactions and annual valuations;
- Investment portfolio reporting valuations;
- Valuations involving complex capital structures;
- Valuations of equity incentive awards and other forms of stock compensation;
- Valuations of businesses and intangible assets for financial reporting purposes;
- Valuations of earnouts and other contingent consideration;
- Gift and estate tax valuations; and
- Management planning and pre-M&A advisory-based valuations.
Mr. Makin graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and minors in Economics and Spanish.
