Robert Conklin is a Senior Vice President at BVA Group. As Senior Vice President, Mr. Conklin is focused on enhancing and expanding the firm’s business valuation practice.

Mr. Conklin has nearly 30 years of business valuation and financial consulting experience, and has completed over a thousand appraisal assignments. He has been involved in valuation engagements for a variety of purposes including fair value analysis for financial reporting purposes (ASC 820, ASC 718, ASC 350, ASC 360 ) gift and estate tax, corporate income tax (IRC 280G and IRC 409A), litigation support, and employee stock ownership plans. Mr. Conklin has served clients in dozens of industries, including oil and gas (up-stream, mid-stream and down-stream); banking and insurance; manufacturing; business services; trucking and logistics; distribution; healthcare; retail; and professional sports franchises.

Mr. Conklin has served as guest lecturer at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, the Edwin L. Cox Graduate School of Business at Southern Methodist University, and the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. He has also served as a panelist/speaker at conferences sponsored by the Southwest Chapter of the ESOP Association; the Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Center for Private Equity Research; and the University of Texas School of Law.

Mr. Conklin holds the following degrees: Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honors Program, all at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, a member of the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts, a member of the Chancellor’s Committee for the University of Texas System, a member of the Board of Directors of the Southwest Chapter of the ESOP Association, and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Center for Private Equity Research at the University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Conklin is also active in several philanthropic pursuits, including working on several giving back initiatives with BVA Group such as the North Texas Food Bank, Carry the Load, and other community charities. Mr. Conklin has also endowed several initiatives at both the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas System. He is a Member of the Littlefield Society, the President’s Associates, and a Parlin’s Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Conklin is also a Fellow of the Ashbel Smith Circle and a Fellow of the 1881 Society for the University of Texas System.
