BVA recently launched its new website with a theme of “Breaking Trail”—to hike in the lead position, forging a path.
SPACE
With continued growth in all service lines and strategic growth in new areas, BVA has outgrown its prior office footprint. In Dallas, we recently moved into customized office space in the newly constructed Legacy Tower. Additionally, we are currently under construction to double our existing space in Wells Fargo Plaza (Houston), and recently contracted for office space in New York.
REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS
Fairness Opinion
BVA prepared a fairness opinion supporting the spin-out of certain assets of a publicly traded global oilfield service company in the context of a merger with a private US-based company.
Private Equity
BVA recently provided a large New York-based private equity institution with eight portfolio valuations for financial reporting purposes, as well as additional valuation analyses for goodwill impairment testing, purchase price allocations, and stock valuations.
Solvency Opinion
The special committee of the board of directors for a publicly traded exploration and production company engaged BVA to provide a solvency opinion in advance of a planned distribution.
Trade Secrets
BVA issued expert reports responding to damages claims exceeding $100 million as the result of alleged misappropriation of trade secrets, and also provided expert opinions and analysis relating to tortious interference counterclaims.
Breach of Contract/Fraud
BVA provided damages analysis, support, and testimony related to breach of contract and fraud claims in connection with a multi-billion-dollar international arbitration in Latin America. In addition, BVA supported the engagement with consulting and data analytics on various financial and data issues unrelated to the damages claims.
Alter Ego/Fraudulent Transfers
On behalf of an international energy company, BVA opined regarding the fairness of billions of dollars of complex corporate transactions over multiple decades and multiple continents.
