Child Advocates mobilizes court-appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of child abuse. They speak up for abused children who are lost in the system and guide them into safe environments where they can thrive. BVA’s Houston office participated in Santa’s Wish List, an event created to provide holiday gifts to children served by Child Advocates. These children have been victims of life-threatening abuse or neglect and, as a result, have been placed in the custody of Child Protective Services. The Santa’s Wish List program makes the holiday season brighter for these children who might otherwise be without gifts during the Holidays.
