Dr. Sourav Chatterjee of BVA Group Provides Expertise at Winter School on "Role of Economics in Competition Law"

Dr. Sourav Chatterjee of BVA Group served as a mentor during the annual CUTS Institute for Regulation and Competition (CIRC) Winter School on “Role of Economics in Competition Law,” which took place in New Delhi, India on November 28-30.  The goal of the Winter School was to provide the participants with a better understanding of the role of economic theories and applications in competition law matters worldwide.  At the Winter School, Dr. Chatterjee presented on a range of topics that included application of econometrics, horizontal agreements, exclusionary behavior and vertical agreements, and antitrust damages.  He also moderated a panel discussion entitled “Challenges in Applying Economics to Competition Law in India.”

CIRC’s Winter School on “Role of Economics in Competition Law” aims to provide the participants with an understanding of the increasingly important role that economics plays in competition law and the relevance of economic analysis to competition law cases.
