Doug Rudley to Retire from BVA Group

Jeff Balcombe, President and CEO of BVA, recently announced that Doug Rudley is retiring from the firm as of December 31, after a career in the transaction advisory business spanning over thirty years, including the last twelve years with BVA. In recent years Doug has spent much of his time consulting and providing expert testimony in major securities litigation. He is an acknowledged expert on the role of investment bankers in transactions and investment banking due diligence standards. Doug will continue as an adjunct faculty member at SMU Dedman School of Law, where he teaches a course on the regulation of the securities markets.

 

Jeff expressed appreciation for the role Doug has played in helping to build the firm’s presence in high stakes litigation over the last dozen years: “Doug is well known in Texas and nationally for the quality and integrity of his expert work. In addition to his efforts in litigation, Doug has been a team leader in numerous valuation, fairness opinion, and advisory assignments over the years. His efforts for our clients have been integral to building and maintaining our firm’s national reputation.”

Doug plans to continue teaching and writing and hopes to travel more with his wife, Mary, who also recently retired.
