BVA was a proud participant in the United Way’s Summer Meals Program on June 18, 2014. In celebration of their 90th anniversary, United Way is hosting nine large scale volunteer events, called “Nine for 90”, that serve to unite the community against the issues we face today. June was all about combatting hunger and homelessness. BVA shared summer meals and played summer games with local children in need to celebrate the kick-off of United Way’s Summer Meals Program, which combats “the hungriest season” by distributing healthy food needed by thousands of kids and families here in our local community.
